About Ikeda Tanrenjo
Yoshikazu Ikeda began his blacksmithing career in 1967 under the guidance of his father, Kameo Ikeda, the second-generation blacksmith of Ikeda Tanrenjo.
In 1983, Yoshikazu established his own workshop, “Ikeda Tanrenjo,” and has spent decades mastering traditional techniques and producing professional-grade Japanese knives such as Mizuhonyaki and Suminagashi blades.
