這款刀具產自日本著名刀具製造地——堺市,以其白木手柄包丁廣受好評。然而,白木手柄容易在使用中變黑並需要更換,對於難以更換手柄的海外用戶,傳統工藝師百瀬順轍先生與漆藝家合作,創造了漆塗手柄。這種設計不僅延長了手柄的美觀壽命,還展現了日本傳統美學的「艶朱色」。

刀具採用了傳統工藝的木曽漆,除了提升外觀美感外,還賦予了耐水、耐久及抗菌等功能性。刀柄的八角形設計更便於握持,讓使用者在料理時感受到舒適與穩定。

Crafted in the renowned knife-making region of Sakai, this knife is celebrated for its whitewood handle, which was traditionally considered a consumable part, requiring replacement over time as it darkened with use. To address the challenges faced by overseas users who find it difficult to replace handles, master craftsman Junzetsu Momose collaborated with lacquerware artisans to create a lacquered handle. This innovation ensures a longer-lasting aesthetic appeal, even without regular maintenance, while showcasing the vibrant, traditional Japanese beauty of "Tsuyashu-iro" (deep vermilion).

The handle is coated with traditional Kiso lacquer, not only enhancing its aesthetic but also providing water resistance, durability, and antibacterial properties. The octagonal handle design tapers slightly toward the blade, offering a comfortable grip and improved control during use.
