・Nigara Hiroshi (title: Kuninobu): renowned swordsmith, designated Intangible Cultural Property of Aomori Prefecture
・7th generation: Yoshizawa Toshihisa

Distinction: Though katana forging ceased after the Haitōrei decree, the spirit and techniques of the samurai sword live on in every Nigara kitchen knife.
