Nigara Hamono is a prestigious bladesmith family based in Hirosaki, Aomori, with over 350 years of history.
Originally appointed as official swordsmiths to the Tsugaru Domain during the Edo period, the workshop is now led by 8th-generation master Go Yoshizawa.
While no longer producing swords, Nigara Hamono continues to carry forward the discipline, spirit, and uncompromising standards of Japanese swordmaking into modern kitchen knives.
